Explore Aboriginal Culture Through the Arts

Full Circle: First Nations Performance is a non profit charitable organization that was established in 1992. For over twenty years, Full Circle has initiated, developed, and produced performance works and educational programming which has been seen locally, nationally and internationally. Due to its breadth of work, Full Circle is considered to be the most important presenter and disseminator of contemporary Aboriginal performance in Vancouver.

These accomplishments were made possible through the efforts of Full Circle’s founder and Artistic Managing Director, Margo Kane (Cree/Saulteaux). Upon establishing Full Circle, her vision was and continues to be to make a profound contribution to the development of Aboriginal performance in Canada. In accordance with Kane’s vision, Full Circle’s objectives are:

Mission One

To create a range of performance opportunities for Aboriginal artists to express their life experiences

Mission Two

To engage audiences of all ages and backgrounds in performances by Aboriginal artists

Mission Three

To educate the Canadian public on the arts, culture and histories of Aboriginal peoples

Mission Four

To train artists in all aspects of the arts based on and respectful of Aboriginal traditions, culture, and history

Full Circle’s team is a collective of diverse and experienced artists and professionals dedicated to promoting Aboriginal Art and Culture. We work together in a variety of roles to create new works, produce events and performances, host master classes, workshops and Talking Circles. We also offer educational programs in partnership with the many talented Aboriginal artists, producers, curators and presenters across the country and beyond.
