WHO

All workshops and classes are facilitated by leading professional artists.

WHAT

Hands-on interactive workshops and storytelling for children and youth of all ages! Storytelling, Métis Jigging, Powwow Dancing, Hip Hop and Traditional Drumming and Dancing. Each session is designed to emphasize interaction, participation, dialogue and education in a lively, creative environment. See our Moccasin Trek Brochure and Moccasin Trek Program Guide.

WHERE

In your classroom, school gymnasium and or your local community centre. You choose what works best for you! Sessions are available throughout the Lower Mainland and the six regions of BC (subject to availability and scheduling).

WHY

To preserve the language, culture and art forms of Aboriginal people, to encourage creativity and to build self-esteem. Because, the stories and art practices of Aboriginal culture have enormous depth and are rich with teachings that are as relevant today as they were so many years ago.

HOW MUCH

All workshops are offered at a suggested donation of $175 per session. No person will be turned away due to financial restrictions.

CURRICULUM

The Moccasin Trek: Arts on the Move! is an expansion of our Workshop in Schools Series and is designed under the guidelines of the Aboriginal Enhancement Agreement. Past workshops offered include:
