Born in Campbell River B.C. Big Willie G-1 is a 17-year-old blues, Rock, and country folk musician. He grew up listening to the Blues greats Muddy Waters, Little Walter, John Lee Hooker, Howlin’ Wolf, Johnny Cash, James Cotton, Jimmie Reed, and Sonny Boy Williamson. At age ten, he was the opening act for the Alert Bay music festival, and in 2017 he opened for Indo-Canadian Folk Artist Ranj Singh.
