The Indigenous Youth Wellness Team at PHSA will be hosting a free conference for Indigenous youth 18 to 24 living in BC from February 15th to 17th, 2017. The conference is being hosted within the ancestral, traditional and unceded territories of the Musqueam, Squamish and Tsleil-Waututh people at the Blue Horizon Hotel in Vancouver, BC.
The goal is to provide a space for Indigenous Youth to come together, network and talk about the different forms of activism that they are engaging in within their communities. Good Heart, Good Mind focuses on grassroots activism in the form of visual arts.
FILMMAKING INTENSIVE 5 DAY WORKSHOP
We also we be hosting a simultaneous 5 day filmmaking intensive workshop running from Feb 14th to 18th , 2017. Our goal is to provide a space for youth ages 18-24 to come together to take part in a 5 day video making intensive workshop.
WHO CAN APPLY?
– Indigenous Youth Ages 18-24 residing in BC
– Successful applicants will receive funding for travel and accommodation for the conference.
