Six storytellers from the Kwantlen First Nations village of Squa’lets spin the tale of Th’owxiya: the Hungry Feast Dish

“When you take something from the earth, you must give something back.”

Th’owxiya: The Hungry Feast Dish, tells the story of Th’owxiya, whose mouth holds the most delicious foods, but if you steal from her, she’ll eat you and your family. A young mouse has made that mistake, but with the help of two young bears, Raven, and Sasquatch, the creature takes a journey to earn her forgiveness. Recommended for Grades K-6.

Don’t miss this Axis Theatre world premiere new play for family audiences. Six Storytellers from the Kwantlen First Nations Village of Squa’lets will spin the tale of Th’owxiya: the Hungry Feast Dish.

This amazing play has shades of the Hansel and Gretel fairytale and the First Nations story The Wild Woman of the Woods will be told through mask and music.

This story is specially designed for children or youth of all ages to learn and discover aboriginal culture in a lively and creative environment!
