Indigenous Tour Guides Required
Description: A large-scale three part multimedia experiential installation with an educational interactive conversation on First Nations languages; and, the steps to reviving their historical and cultural value for future generations. Lisa Jackson is an internationally recognized, Genie award-winning Anishinaabe artist/filmmaker.
SFU Woodward’s is currently seeking applications for tour guides from Indigenous backgrounds. Integral to this position is having knowledge and understanding of supporting First Nations principles, values and cultural protocols.
Act as an cultural ambassador for the Transmissions Installation at SFU Woodward’s and provide a welcoming, professional atmosphere with a diverse public at all times. Provided with research material you will be offering commentary and information, which will allow visitors to fully engage with the experience.

Date: Exhibit dates: September 5 to 28. Plus, 3 days of training.
Rate of Pay: $21/hr
